Yesterday was one of those days which made me want to punch the entire population of this country. And it was caused solely due to my experiences in a single store. Spencers Gariahat, you are outshined by your South City Mall counterpart. If you'd been a man, I'd already have kicked you twice in the privates.
The store layout was annoying
Enter and to my right was an assortment of diapers, body sprays and sanitary napkins; to my right, some munchies, and straight in front of me, toothbrushes. The floor above had handbags, clothes and food containers. There wasn't an empty trolley in sight.
The aisles were too damn narrow
Atleast six people prodded me none too gently with their shopping trolleys, out of which one almost tried to run over my foot.
The store assistants made me feel like a criminal
I know it's their job to sell beauty products to the unsuspecting masses, but did they really have to follow my every move? If I want help, I'll ask for it, either by verbal methods or sign language. And there is no need to sell me shampoo when I'm buying lip balm.

Too many bratty kids in the vicinity
I've seen brats aplenty in Spencers SCM, but those ones are usually dragged along by their parents or are set loose in the toy department. But here it was like a freaking competition to see which brat could make people want to slap them the most. There was one specimen standing obstinately in front of the escalator and not letting others pass, another who rammed into me with a trolley with the sublime quote "Just mooooooooove, gooooooooo awaaay!", and a third which had made it a life-or-death mission to flatten as many loaves of bread he could while his mother beamed at his genius. Parents, control them please. You do not want to witness my wrath, especially when I can't find my favourite pudding.
Our cashier was more interested in solving random curtain problems than checking out our items
Midway through the transaction, she began to discuss the pros and cons of brown curtains with some random buyer in the vicinity. Which continued till I poked her with a debit card.
The store assistant nudged me with a basket to get me out of his way
This was after he grabbed my purchases and proceeded to pack the large diswasher bottle on top of the bread.
The gatekeep-guard-person was evil
We'd crossed the 60-minute mark by less than a minute, but readily paid the parking fee for the next hour. A couple of feet ahead, my mother looked back and spotted the guy pocket the extra cash sneakily. It was a gape-worthy moment.
He could've just asked for a tip and we'd have been gracious about it. Now I hope whatever he buys with all the extra cash he's pocketed from various sources gives him either a fungal infection or stomach worms. Or both.

Amazing weblog! Do you might have any suggestions for aspiring writers? I'm hoping to start my own weblog soon but I'm a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a totally free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? You’ll find so several choices out there that I'm completely overwhelmed .. Any tips? Appreciate it!
